Internet TV Idea
I have had an idea for a while for an on-line tv show. I have been trying to get interest in it through various avenues. I now figure with the ever so popular push to put new exciting content on-line that someone may just show interest. I have thought about a lot of different angles to push it. Anyways here goes the thought.
Here’s the basic concept:
The program revolves around a pair of scientists confined in a biosphere for a finite amount of time racing a deadline to complete a specific task. Their actions will be captured by cameras placed throughout the sphere and by the third and final person in the program: the camera operator. The cameraperson will be a part of the program by providing an everyman interaction and commentary while taping the scientists. All three will be allowed to have unlimited communication with the outside world via the Internet. There is a catch, however.
The first part of the show is preparation and problem solving by the scientists. All their basic survival needs such as food and water will be met, but all they will have to figure out how to assemble and activate all the equipment they need to accomplish their task and communicate with the outside world. For example, before they can get on the Internet they will have to first build the computer.
After they are up and running, the program would then begin focus on them trying to accomplish their task and their ups and downs along the way.
Basic format would be reality tv meets tech tv meets build or bust.
Revenue streams would be similar to that of the popular car building shows where as all products would be donated to the show in order to help the scientist along the way. Tons and tons of product shots.
Maybe this will reach the eyes of someone who shares similar interest and foresight to help get a project like this off the ground.
