A Free Business "Model"
Here goes a free one for ya.
In the very near future 3D printers will be the norm. The price will come down and they will be a common as the ink-jet in the next 4-5 years. While some company are jumping in now, I think it would be a little better to only wade in the waters of 3D printing. Instead off offering protyping services now how about coming up with a list of goods that people could just purchase the plans for and download them directly to there 3D printer. For instance you could come up with a cool model car, and offer the printer files for cheep. So instead of offering the actual car for say $19.95 you could just offer the plans to print your own car for $3.99. If you follow this model now and start building the printer profiles by the time the 3D printers hit the mass market you would already have a whole catalogue of products to sell.
Hey just an idea, now somebody out there take it and run with it.
