8-Legged Family Memeber
Well it finally happened, I got an octopus. Octopus belong to the Cephalopod family of salt water invertebrates. They have a short life span of about 6 months to a year, but can live much longer. They are a very playful species that carries a high intelligence level. While I am not 100% sure of its species I am checking more and more into it. I have it narrowed down to about two or three particular groups: O. vulgaris, Octopus Bimaculoide and a third varrient. Hopefully the good people over at Tonmo can help me out. The interesting fact about this octopus is that it was caught off the coast of Mcclennanville, SC form a local shrimp boat.
Having an octopus will be very changeling but I think Heidi and I are up to it. I will be sure to keep you informed.
Here are a few quick picts.
